We first formulated and developed the FireDragon firelighter for military professionals and outdoor adventure enthusiasts to help people who venture in the great outdoors cook their rations and boil their brews quickly, safeguarding their health and protecting the environment at the same time.
This invention is a world first in fire lighters that are essentially made from rotten vegetable matter (UK sourced ethanol) rather than wood from trees like other firelighters. This avoids cutting down large rainforests proving that "A rubbish idea could save the planet" With 2021 likely to be the biggest year for British BBQs and staycations a simple change in consumer awareness could go a long way for the environment.

FireDragon was developed in collaboration with a British leading university called Cardiff University known for its future thinking and scientific break throughs.
FireDragon’ excelled to prime position through extensive research, development, laboratory and field trials, the UK’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) were the first to adopt ‘FireDragon’ fuel. It has since been taken on by defence forces and adventurers alike around the world, and now everybody will now be able to get their hands on FireDragon for their BBQ’s and fire pits as a new retail range has arrived in B & Q stores across the UK.
BCB International spokesperson, Paul Davies, said: “For far too long the public have had to put up with either bulky and dirty firelighters, many of which can produce toxic fumes. FireDragon is environmentally friendly. It is a safer and a cleaner alternative."

FireDragon out-performs other cooking fuels

Fire Dragon can boil 500 ml of water in 5 minutes. This is over 2 minutes faster than the second best performing fuel. Meths boiled the same amount of water in 7 minutes, Hexamine in 7.5 minutes and Liquid Ethanol Gel in 7.75 minutes. That's a massive 2.75 minutes longer than Fire Dragon.
